Steavie Bees
Biography
Steavie Bees. Brisbane based, long time theatre enthusiast. They have acted in television commercials, training videos and several student films including an interactive zombie adventure, though the majority of their acting roles have been on stage. Steavie has been involved in a number of shows at Brisbane Arts Theatre, the majority of which are based on Sir Terry Pratchett’s Discworld, in varying roles, including Nobby Nobbs, Dr Downey, Wolfgang Von Uberwald and Lord Rust, as well as Thos Cropper in an adaptation of Nanny Ogg’s Cookbook which was performed for Sir Terry himself. Steavie’s debut solo directing experience, in 2019’s Maskerade, holds the title of most successful non-musical mainhouse production on record for Brisbane Arts Theatre at the 210 Petrie Tce Venue.

Reviews
‘The attention to detail was meticulous, and extended to the visual elements of the production, with costume design by Nick Scotney and set design by Steavie Bees. The collaboration resulted in an impeccable display of excellent and fitting costumes, perfectly aligning with the setting and the fantastical fantasy world depicted on stage. The seamless integration of these visual components further enhanced the immersive quality of the performance.’
