Richard began teaching for the National Institute of Dramatic arts in 2015 and his passion for teaching became equally as strong as his passion for performing. This space gave actors the freedom and knowledge on how to create an audition tape that will set them apart from the plethora of digital submissions received by casting agents.
Theatre credits include the 2017 Judith Wright production of “Wogs in Love,” “Romeo and Juliet” and The Hot L Baltimore both performed at Gardens Theatre in Brisbane, Queensland. He also performed “A Dog Dreams” by award winning Hollywood playwright Jeffery Fischer-Smith in Sydney 2016. Lately he has been seen in Metro Arts production of “Wheel of Fortune” and 2018 Brisbane Shakespeare festival’s production of Much Ado about Nothing. He is also a tutor for speech and drama for the National institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA).”

Reviews
Lund showed a huge range through his performance, which was acidicly funny, dark and brooding, desperate, and featured a violent dangerousness that was unnerving to watch!

BEST MALE ACTOR IN A LEADING ROLE: WINNER
Richard Lund, Kelly (Ad Astra)
In a highly competitive field, Richard's performance of Ned Kelly gave us a fresh, multi-faceted and finely crafted portrayal of a character we all 'know'. A high degree of excellence was evident in a performance that was a glorious mix of danger and humour, strength and compassion with the underlying fierce loyalty of the Ned Kelly we all expect. Richard executed the role with confidence, consistency and a high level of skill, as he sat naturally and comfortably in this character, hooking us into his unique world and keeping us hanging on his every word.
