Reviews

Liam Hartley was nuanced in his portrayal of Dennis, undertaker, bank robber and part-time lover of both Hal and Fay. I particularly enjoyed the range of his vocal performance, shifting expertly according to his task at hand.

Hartley’s comedic timing was impeccable; his stage presence was excellent and his scenes which saw him switching from solemn undertaker to stressed out bank robber were particularly good. His performance left me wanting more and I will be eager to see what he does next.

Reviews

‘Hartley and Catton should be highly commended for creating a nuanced, offbeat and quirky show. Like all good goofy comedies, the script was silly, insane and at times utterly gag-worthy, but among the many butt jokes it also combined clever wit and skilful foreshadowing which made the show feel polished, tight and complete.’

‘The entire cast were amazing and well suited to their roles; however, Jacob Keuk and Liam Hartley were stand-outs with their comedic timing and often had me laughing out loud.’

‘Liam Hartley showcases his comic versatility as the grandfather and as another detective on the case.’

Liam Hartley’s cabaret ‘It’s Not That Simple’ brought audiences classic anthems and proved that love is not quite as simple as the songs may suggest. Never did I think that a harmonica would be such a hilariously integral part of a cabaret, but Hartley’s rendition of ‘Piano Man’ brought an extra layer of pizzazz and was a great opportunity to flex an unusual skill.
