Heidi Enchelmaier gives Beth Spencer, Frank’s first wife, a poignancy, difficult to deliver in a musical.

“Professional clout was also on show in the two leading performances of Elphaba and Glinda. Heidi Enchelmaier thrilled as the former delivering her vocals like a true Voice diva and bringing grit and pathos to her performance. The first act finale of “Defying Gravity” was as powerful as any I’ve seen, which deservedly resulted in thunderous applause.”

“Playing the title role of Dani, was Heidi Enchelmaier. Her portrayal of a nine year-old with leukemia was neither dark nor indulgent. It was sweet and joyful and blindly optimistic and every song she sang was a touching bitter-sweet moment.”

“Enchelmaier’s Cathy is heart-wrenching from their famous opening number ‘Still Hurting,’ to their closing number ‘Goodbye Until Tomorrow.’ Enchelmaier unique edginess enhances Cathy’s interesting connection to Jamie. It truly creates a beautiful, authentic relationship between these performers which can be seen both in and out of character. Enchelmaier’s extensive tertiary training is clear in their talented portrayal of Cathy.”
