Tom Harwood
Biography
Tom grew up in London until he was 12 and a coastal town in Spain until he was 16 where he joined a local drama group. He performed in a number of stage productions as a teenager. After moving back to London for many years the acting subsided and a career in the fast paced city became the norm.
It wasn’t until moving to Australia in his thirties that he rekindled that love and passion for the arts and dove head first into his acting training. Now 8 years into his adult acting career Tom has notched up a number of credits in film and television including some major US shows as well as theatre in Sydney and has not looked back since. Tom has recently written and produced his own short films, winning a number of awards on the global festival circuit. Tom has also taken his hand to film composing and works from his home studio marrying his love of both film and music.
Marvin’s Room is Tom’s first Ad Astra appearance and first stageplay here in Brisbane. He is very much looking forward to sharing his version of Dr Wally with you all.

Tom Harwood as Dr Wally is another comedic highlight of this production. As the forgetful mishearing doctor, Harwood creates comedy even in the toughest of situations.

Tom Harwood who does a fabulous job of juggling five very different characters.

The roles of Hannigan’s shyster brother Rooster (Tom Harwood) and female sidekick Lily St Regis (Emma Frisina) burst onto the stage, and in or out of disguise, with considerable verve. Their song Easy Street featuring the desperate Miss Hannigan is quite the slick rendition with a nice use of the stage.
