Elise Lamb
Biography
Elise began her career as a dancer training under the late Harold Collins and completed her Major Classical Ballet Examinations through the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). She went on to perform in numerous musicals and was a supernumerary with The Australian Ballet.
For several years, Elise performed at Universal Studios Japan and Warner Bros. Movie World as an actor, dancer and stunt performer.
Elise moved to London where she studied Classical Acting at LAMDA and obtained her Master of Arts at the prestigious Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Upon graduating, Elise was directed by Stephen Daldry in an episode of THE CROWN and was hand picked by Sir Ridley Scott for a small role in ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD. She also performed in Francis Grin’s groundbreaking play FIXED ACTION PATTERN at the The Vaults.
As a playwright, Elise’s plays produced in London include A DANCE OF TWO SISTERS and DEEDS, NOT WORDS at the Pleasance Theatre and LOST IN BANK at Greenwich Theatre. Her debut full-length play THE AUSTRALIAN GIRL was developed at the Old Vic Labs and produced Off-West End at Theatre N16. Elise’s script for the screen adaptation of the play won the Grand Jury Prize at Female Voices Rock in New York and Best Unproduced Short Screenplay Runner-up at the Oscar-qualifying Raindance in London.
Elise is an alumni of the Young Vic Director’s Program, National Theatre Writer’s Group and is a recipient of the Ian Potter Cultural Trust.

Reviews
“As her estranged sister, Lee, Elise Lamb is a fiery free spirit, struggling to bring up her two teenage boys under trying circumstances. Your heart breaks for her efforts to transcend her birthplace.”
Beth Keehn - Stage Whispers | Read full review
“Kennedy and Lamb unfolded the relationship between the two sisters beautifully, from an awkward reunion to mutual affection and respect.”
Jake Goodall - Bravo Brisbane | Read full review
“All members of the cast impress, however, the story’s telling rests upon the sisters at its centre. Most notably, Lamb’s nuanced performance gives Lee a vulnerability beneath her tough veneer, with her glances about and fidgety movement conveying a sense of insecurity that her words belie.”
Meredith Walker - Blue Curtains | Read full review
Leading this cast is Fiona Kennedy as Bessie and Elise Lamb as Lee. These two actors are seasoned professionals and you can see this in their performance. Lamb as the estranged sister is a perfect casting choice. Lamb is hilarious with her hard-hitting one-liners and hysterical movements. And when it comes down to it, Lamb shows the intricate, softer side of Lee with skill and grace.

“Playing Muriel Matters - an Australian suffragette - Lamb gives a vivid account and a very enjoyable performance.”
Michael Davis - Breaking The Fourth Wall, London | Read Review
“The Last Flapper offers Lamb an opportunity to showcase her talents as actor, singer and dancer. She fitted the role of Zelda Fitzgerald well as she sang and twirled about using every inch of the stage, her delivery superb.”
