Lachlan Stuart
Biography
Lachlan Stuart is an actor based in Brisbane. In 2017 & 2018 Lachy toured with Brainstorm Productions which had him driving over much of the East Coast of Australia, performing educational theatre to high school students. The shows touched on Mental health, Cyber Safety, Bullying and Exam Stress to name a few. It's estimated that he performed to around 120,000 Students during that time.
In 2018 Lachy starred in 'Two Weeks' a nine-part LGBTQ+ drama series. It had its official release on YouTube accumulating over 2 million views.
Lachlan has been cast in lead roles in several short films, one of which recently premiered - 'Black Tie Optional', Written and Directed by Shuban Krishnan. For this, Lachlan received 'Most Outstanding Performance' as part of the 2021 Griffith University Graduate Slate Awards Night.
His curiosity has taken him all over the globe to work with the world’s greatest teachers of theatre. He has been taught by Tina Packer (Lenox, Massachusetts, USA); (the late) Kristin Linklater at her Voice Centre (Orkney, Scotland) and Larry Moss in his Brisbane Masterclass (Aus Tour).
His most notable training was with USA's 'Shakespeare and Company' through their renowned winter intensive program in 2019.
In addition he studied with 16th Street - Actors Studio (Melbourne), The Warehouse Workshop (Gold Coast), The Factory Acting Studio (Brisbane) and holds an Advanced Diploma of Arts (acting) from TAFE Qld.
