James Enwright
Biography
James has been involved in the performing arts from a young age, particularly music. He recently graduated from a Bachelor of Arts at UQ, majoring in Drama. This gave him a wealth of knowledge on theatre history and practice and lead to opportunities to get experience within the industry, such as completing a secondment with the Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble for their production of Margaret Atwood’s The Penelopiad. As part of the course, he also directed a short play, Staff Room, for the 2023 Vanguard Theatre Festival. Throughout 2023, he also worked with many local theatre companies, including Underground Theatre and Centenary Theatre Group, and has been a longstanding exec of the UQ Film Production Society, which grew considerably in 2023, offering high-quality productions and bringing together a community of aspiring filmmakers and friends. James is a strong supporter of local theatre and wants to continue to expand his connections within the community and develop his skills.
