Chris Nguyen
Biography
Chris Nguyen is a Brisbane based actor, playwright and Acting coach. He began his acting journey in high school, finding his passion in school productions starting with a musical production of Guys and Dolls (2016), directed by Michelle Carey, who would later direct him in his independent theatre debut in The Laramie Project (2021). This spring boarded his zest for life in the theatre, which led to him receiving a scholarship to the Australian Acting Academy, where he further developed his craft in the Extension stream as well as developed his skills as a drama facilitator. This opportunity bonded his love for acting and youth education, where he develops the Brisbane youth in the dramatic arts.
He has done a series of short films (Attack of the Incels, 3 Minutes) and plays (D.N.A, 600 Way to Filter a Sunset, Lord of the Flies, etc.) and in writing and developing his own work as he completes his Bachelor of Acting at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University. He works as a comedic duo, developing skits and improvised performances with his best friend Chad Terry, which stemmed from their humble beginnings in Theatresports. He is a deeply committed, creative and conducts himself professionally as an actor. He is skilled in both drama and comedy and has his musical talents in singing.
